Getting to our Developments in Tambor

There are very few places in the world that can offer such an incredible diversity of scenery, climate and vacation pleasures as Costa Rica. Tambor is one of this country’s famous areas and is the location of our developments.

Getting here is easy! And there are 3 ways to do it.

A couple of things to know first:

• Please call our office before making any reservations to check our availability.

• Everyone who visits our properties needs to book in advance. Unfortunately we can not take walk-ins as all property tours are scheduled.

• Most of our properties are pre-selected and therefore when you visit you may find that there is little inventory. Please call us for property availability before scheduling your trip.

3 Ways to get to Tambor

1, FLY AND COMMUTE - FIRST VISIT PREFFERED!

Fly to San Jose and be greeted by a member of our staff at the international airport. They will escort you to the commuter airport next to the international one (2 minutes away). Here you will board a commuter airline (16 passenger) and fly to Tambor. This flight will last 25 minutes and when you land a member of our staff will greet you at the Tambor airport. Usually you can fly San Jose and Fly out Tambor in the same morning or afternoon because there are 16 commuter flights per day to Tambor. If you have a later international flight your may be required to stay in a San Jose hotel for the night. Our office can make all the transportation and reservations for you. 2, FLY (to San Jose) AND DRIVE

Fly to San Jose and be greeted by a member of our staff at the international airport. They will assist you with your already reserved car rental plans. Typically the rental agency will have a van waiting for you to be transported to the rental agency where you will receive your car. Drive to the ferry docks approx. 2 hours away and board the ferry (with your car). The ferry ride is approximately 1 hour to the town of ‘Paquera’ located in the Nicoya Peninsula which is still a 19 KM drive to Tambor. You will need to go to your booked hotel and let us know of your arrival. The entire trip should take you 4 hours. Please call our office for specific details.

3, FLY (to Liberia) AND DRIVE

Fly to Liberia (the other international Airport in Costa Rica) and drive to Tambor. We don’t have a staff member located in Liberia but the rental car process is very simple. Typically the rental agency will have a van waiting for you to be transported to the rental agency where you will receive your car. Drive to Tambor. You will need to go to your booked hotel and let us know of your arrival. The entire trip should take you 3.5 hours. Please call our office for specific details. You can also drive the entire trip from San Jose by-passing the Ferry. This drive will take you approximately 5 hours.
